Windsor, UK

Windsor, Berkshire is a town just outside of London where Windsor Castle is located.

To get to Windsor from London, you can either take the train from London Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside station or take the train from London Paddington to Windsor & Eton Central. Note, you will need to buy tickets from the kiosks or counter, your Oyster card won't be enough even though the turnstiles have Oyster card readers.

From London Waterloo, simply take the train to Windsor & Eton Riverside. Windsor is the final stop. The trip takes a little under an hour and stops at the station by the Thames River. There is a short walk from the station to Windsor Castle.
From London Paddington, take the train to Slough and then transfer to the train for Windsor & Eton Central. The whole trip is about 30 minutes.

Windsor Castle is one of the Royal Family's residences, but is also open to the public. Unfortunately photography is not allowed inside the buildings.
